Did you ever imagine that you could lose weight by drinking tea? You will be surprised to know that it is true. Yes indeed! This might be better than all the ‘lose weight diet‘ craze. I too was rather surprised that one could actually lose weight this way. But it is not all types of tea which help you to lose weight. There is a special type of tea you have to drink in order to lose weight. The special tea is called green tea. green-tea weight loss is not a temporary weight loss, but has a lasting effect. I learnt about it from my father-in-law.

While he was in Japan he had the opportunity to attend one of the ever popular tea ceremonies that is performed there. He was surprised to find that along with its fantastic flavour, this tea aids in weight loss, and is used by the Japanese to remain slim and trim. It is gaining in popularity all over the world and soon the weight loss pills which are available in the market will be out of fashion and people will turn to green tea to help them lose weight. There is no big secret to loosing weight. There is not a miracle pill or a snake oil that will make you loose weight and keep it off. If losing weight is your goal, there are 2 simple rules one must follow, starting with, eating less.

2. Move more. What should you eat less of? Avoid foods that are high in fat or calories and provide few nutritional benefits and foods and foods that are high in carbohydrates. This does not mean that you should avoid fat and carbohydrates entirely. It simply means that you should make wise choices. For example, eat your burger without the bun and skip the mayonnaise. Instead of having fries as a side, munch on some carrot sticks.

Even slight changes in your eating will make a large difference in your waitline over time. Most people claim that they just don’t have time to exercise. Everyone should decide that their health is important enough to make time for exercise. Walk instead of taking the bus. Get out of bed thirty minutes early and walk, do crunches, or use a work out video. When you get to work or school park at the far end of the parking lot and hoof it. Follow these easy rules and before long, you will find that you are leaner. I had put on a lot of weight over the past six months since the time I stopped smoking.

As a substitute for cigarettes, I was consuming more food. I wasn’t even aware that I had put on almost 20 pounds in half a year. One evening my partner informed me that I needed to take care of myself because it wasn’t healthy to be so overweight. I also became aware that I was eating without needing too. With my sedentary lifestyle and no daily physical activity, I had to reduce my food intake. I also took the decision to burn the fat by doing regular exercise. I took membership in our neighborhood gym and decided to go for an hour’s workout every day.

My mind was made up. I had to return to the shape I was in earlier. Come what may I would not skip going to the gym even for a day.
